Scotland takes taxation as a key area for an independent future

In November 26 of 2013, Alex Saldmon presented in Glasgow Scotland’s referendum on 18 September 2014 is a choice between two futures., his government’s blueprint document for independence. This document aims at addressing key questions related to independence and considered important for the Scothish constituency.

The document devotes a whole chapter to Finance and The Economy, covering areas such as a supportive, competitive and dynamic business environment, a valued and well-rewarded workforce, Scottish currency, fiscal rules and financial regulation and finally the tax system.

In chapter 10 called Building a Modern Democracy it mentions the Foral taxation system (Basque Country and Navarre) when talking about maximum devolution (pag. 335)
